Pastor Nguyen Manh Hung was arrested on January 16, 2025, in Vietnam for criticizing the government on Facebook (art. 117).

A pastor since 2011, Hung is a member of the Mennonite Church, which is independent of the official Protestant Church controlled by the Vietnamese regime.

December 10, is also Mr. Le Dinh Luong's birthday. He is 59 and is currently the Vietnamese political prisoner with the longest prison sentence for his peaceful activism: 20 years.
