man I naturally rolled those kind of stats for my half-orc barb, my DM and I just thought it was funny and we've been playing fine with those rolls. She's just had to adjust some fights to be a little more difficult because my character hits hard lol. Sorry you got such a dumb DM, glad you bounced.
