Now I've gone and searched my Google photos for pictures of bat guano. But it can't differentiate Missouri cave mud from bat poop. Ah well

Hang on... I've gone caving in bat habitats and taken pictures next to large piles of guano... It can't be super easy to catch it from dust inhalation or we would have a lot more cases of rabies.

Fortunately this was decades ago in a location where rabies was not common in the bat population

A new roommate and I found a bat flying around the apartment in the middle of the night. We thought we had scared it out, and the next morning I left for about 24 hours in lab. When I returned, the only toilet in the apartment was closed, had text books stacked on it and a sign that said "BAT".
