Haven't been able to fig. out any sureshot tricks. I revisit the GMCR structure. (Goal, Motivation, Conflict, Reaction). If that seems fine and logical, then I move on to the next scene-seq.

What do you do?

Hey #crpfireflies, Every time I sit to revise, my mind is like..

So this is the first line when my MC's POV comes on.
'Deymon had wanted to die, but now he was killing again so she could live once more.'
I've absolutely no idea what this tells you about the MC. I hope it sets up his motive. I'm very eager to hear all of your thoughts.
Go #CRPFireflies!!

I take Stephen King's advice. I think of a situation & build everything around it. I borrow the situations from our world.
eg. A dictator is terrorising the world. What abt rebels? Traitors in his midst? Would other govts. come together against him? Add some fantasy elements and you've an epic F.

Haha. I was completely in the dumps after receiving rejections the first time.
After scrolling endlessly on reddit and some other writer support groups, I realised I'm not alone. That's what got me to dream again.

I don't think rejections ever get easier. I think you just numb down after receiving dozens of them. The important bit is to get back up and start again, learning from the experience.

Hey #CRPfireflies! I'm going to be querying soon & I should be prepared for a lot of fails. I love it when rejections start coming in. Makes me question my life. I feel like Buddha. Chasing Enlightenment.
So, anyways, my situation can be best described by a participant in a Japanese gameshow.

Hi #CRPfireflies. I'm Vidit. Probably the only one in the group not from the US. This is my first #CampRevPit. Really excited to be here. I'm revising an epic fantasy, a X between John Gwynne's Malice and Abercrombie's The Blade Itself, though in a non-western setting. I start querying next month.
