I think you'll still be shocked. It is very much being marketed as a console-like experience as it's for entertainment and not a workstation, but I expect the price will be far more expensive than something much more powerful that you could just build yourself. But it's Valve so of course OMG!!

The #1 reason I'll shell out for a collector's edition is for the goodies. So long as I can still buy a physical copy of the game separately it's all good. This trend of separating the two doesn't bother me at all and I don't know why it should.
