Was hanging out at the car while my spouse picked out some stuff and had this little lady Grackle and her mate was having out begging. I had no food, so he gave up, but she had a bum foot and was working it for all it was worth. Such smart little things. 😄

I got this adorable lil' obsidian gargoyle from my dear friend at @darkstarcurio.bsky.social, I finally unpacked him and gave him a home. His name is Stripe because he has an ash inclusionon streak on his little forhead, and he now guards my Fairy Castle cactus.

One of our neighbors has had a decades old pricklypear in front of the house for ages. The house sold recently, and the new tenants yanked it out with a tractor to put in a fence. Sadly, I wasn't able to get the whole thing cause it wouldn't fit in the car, so I salvaged a bunch of chunks from it.🧵
