I think most people refer to it as Tate Modern… and similarly Tate Britain… sorry! (but I don’t know why… other than that’s what they call themselves too I think?)

Maybe because they are either place names (Wigmore?) or names (Colston) which work in the same way as places? (proper nouns). I don’t know. Just guesswork!

But yes, when it’s wrong, we just know it’s wrong!

Perhaps where qualification is required through use of an adjective? Which museum? The British museum. Which hall? The Royal Albert Hall. Whereas with a place name this isn’t required eg Hammersmith Odeon, Canterbury Cathedral etc.

I really should be #teamsceptic. I am a logical, rational and often cynical person in most other aspects of life (even religion). Except for anything supernatural, and then I am #teambeliever Every. Single. Time. 😭

I really hope so. Brutal is the only word to describe the process. It sucks any love for a subject out of most students as far as I can see. And after 12 years of holistic student-led learning (PYP and MYP) they are served up 2 years of content-heavy, teach- and learn-for-the-test DP. Crazy.

We have just survived round 1 of IB exams. It has been exhausting for the whole family 😩. At least we get 3 years until we have to do it a second time…
