Bou finally got some harnesses!

After disassembling the platter motor, soaking in degreaser, degreasing, and full reassembly it’s almost back to as nice as it was in the mid 1920’s!

The platter felt was rotted away so I wire brushed it away and glued/cut to size a new felt patch in a similar color to the original.

The horn was making a lot of not so nice rattle, so it got taken out, polished and re painted so it would fit better against the case.

While the case was empty and the parts were soaking in de-greaser I repainted the lid with the original pattern that had work away.

Some planorbid snails and a very hard to see aquatic earthworm from todays sampling!

Found some Pileated woodpecker feeding marks in a tree next to a vernal pool, and chipmunk burrows from my last hike.

The gasket holding the reproducer was rotted away so I replaced it with a ring of soft pvc I cut out of some tubing, the rotted felt brake was replaced with a cork brake, and the case was cleaned during this the metal parts were soaked to remove the graphite grease.
