That is a delusional scenario. Even if sanctions were increased, and there is a 0% chance of this happening under Trump, the collapse of Russia isn't going to happen. It didn't happen under the last round, and there is nothing that could be done to shock the Russian economy more than that did.

Then another Russian steps in and continues this war that really isn't all that unpopular in Russia. They might not be rolling across Ukraine but they definitely aren't losing.

There just isn't a scenario where Ukraine gets that territory back. It isn't fair, but the world isn't fair. Ukraine could fight until it fails as a nation, or give it up. Those are the only two options.

I have great things to say about it, and the news about it closing has been absolutely devastating. I'm just pointing out that calling paid staff "volunteers" is disingenuous. Call them corps members or workers but volunteers is flat wrong.

Me too. I just always thought the sensitivity around calling it a paycheck was absurd. It comes out biweekly. You legally have ti consider it income. Dress it up however you like, but they still give you a W2. I mean, personal care items, haircuts, and meals are what everyone buys lol

Each corps member costs around $27,000. They pay to fly them/drive them around as well as food, and a modest stipend. When I served in 2010 it was about $200 biweekly. When they are on campus, they also receive a dorm for housing.

They do get "paid". They are really sensitive about calling it a paycheck, but they get a biweekly direct deposit of a few hundred dollars called a "stipend".
