I cancelled my Washington Post subscription some time ago, when the Post refused to endorse Harris and there were also reports that they were hiring more right-wing opinion writers. Something I don't want to pay for I am hoping that other outlets like the Atlantic and NYT will take over.

The high-tax states of CA, NY, NJ, MN, and OR have 24 Republican reps in Congress. Folks should lean on them to insist that the upcoming tax bill restores the deduction for state and local taxes. The tax bill will still be bad, but restoring SALT removes some of the sting for high-tax states.

Obviously a long shot, but what if Biden were to pardon all who entered the country illegally or overstayed their visa? It would not prevent deportation but would improve the legal situation of a lot of folks.
