I liked it too. I must admit, I didn’t think it was so intentional either, and I didn’t know about that other story about zombies. It’s a really cool trilogy, and as Joel said, it conveys a great message for kids. These are heavy themes, but it’s important to address them from childhood.

I also didn’t like the third movie. I thought they were going to discuss immigration or something, but it was disappointing.
