He has wide-ranging expertise in the past and present of US foreign relations, global institutions, Jewish history, labor, and world social movements. He was most recently Fulbright García Robles Chair at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México – ITAM. Professor Silverman’s recent publications include chapters on current US-Mexico military relations and on the history of Sephardic Jews in the twentieth century.
