The camera zooms in on Syggironn, the washed-out color growing brighter. The two catwomen have snuck up behind the dozing sea wolf, Jihli on her right and Lyona on her left. "Isn't that couch a bit big for one woman, darling?" Jihli asks playfully. "Even one of your considerable size..." Syggironn jumps in her seat at the sudden presence of her wife and their partner, her eyes widening. The two miqo'te start to climb over the back of the couch, trusting that the weight of their lover will keep it from tipping over on them all. "Jihli? Lyona!?" Syggironn cries out in surprise. "Weren't you two s'posed to be out enjoyin' the sun 'till I got back?" Jihli settles into Syggironn's lap, pressed against her right side, while M'lyona nuzzles up underneath Syggironn's arm, pushing her face to the wiry hair of Syggironn's armpit. "There's no warmth in the sun without you there to enjoy it with..." M'lyona purrs out softly, nestling in close. "You two make a rainy day brighter'n any day in the sun, y'know that?" Syggironn says softly, pulling the two girls closer to her. "I love you."

With her coat off, now in her mostly-dry tanktop, Syggironn begins to work at her tall leather boots. "Leastwise Khy kept a fire goin'," her inner monologue continues. "Shouldn't take long at all to dry off... 'N maybe a warmup from the bottle since the girls ain't here to keep me warm themselves." Syggironn collapses down on the couch, right in front of the hearth. Sprawling, the big roegadyn woman takes up nearly the entire width of the couch on her own. "The damned place feels too empty without them makin' noise," Syggironn mutters aloud to herself. "I'd swear I could hear 'em purring o'er by the bed. Ain't used to bein' alone anymore." Out of focus, in the background, Syggironn's partners, Jihli and M'lyona, stare at their lover from the bed. The focus shifts to the background of the shot, an exclamation mark popping up over the girls' heads. The two miqo'te are staring at Syggironn. "Syggironn's back already?" Jihli's voice is quiet, low enough that only M'lyona — curled up around her — can properly hear. "Wasn't she going to be away for another two weeks?" "That she was..." M'lyona replies. "Has she really not noticed us?"

On a cold, rainy night Syggironn drags herself back to the FC hall. The tall roegadyn woman is greeted by the house guard — her retainer, Khyranna — who wasn't expecting to see her back so early. "Madam Syggironn," Khyrrana calls out. "I thought you weren't to return for another Fortnight. Is aught amiss?" "Hail, Khy," Syggironn replies, lifting a hand in greeting. "Turns out the situation is well under control without me. It's almost nice not to be needed for once." She passes by the guard, turning her head to call back as she passes through the doorway "I'll be up in my quarters if anyone comes calling." Dripping wet and miserable, Syggironn folds her umbrella to put in the rack by the doorway. "Twelve, it's pourin' down out there," she thinks to herself. "I'd be better off walkin' about with *gills* in weather like this." Now inside her private chambers, Syggironn pulls off her hood and begins to unclasp her long, blue coat. "It's a shame, though," Syggironn thinks idly, "the girls are probably still tramping about in sunny Tural while I'm stuck here. Never thought it could rain this much in Thanalan..."

Her journey ended early, in a small town called the Silver Bazaar. Ul'dah but a stones throw away, she made herself at home amongst the folk of the run down market town, made herself useful for common problems while she sought her glory in the bloodsands.

The gorge, at least, offered some shelter from the sun. It may have been a blessing in disguise as well; offering her a clean stream to refill her waterskin from when otherwise she would have run dry long before reaching the city's walls.
