Ah—the end game. Private prisons with no-bid contracts in a ‘gold rush’ of setting their own prices to imprison immigrants. As always, it’s about greed and $$$$$.

I loved the chance to be on Alyson Shelton’s “Where I’m From” podcast today. It was on Instagram, so you can watch me turn my iPad around and then discuss my “I Am From” poem. Creating the poem based on a specific form was so much fun and talking about it was a blast!
