Being a SAHM showed me how exhausting, lonely, and challenging parents have it. Parenting is a privilege with little support for many, and thus it can quickly turn into a prison. If you love it, do it! But don't try to force it onto others, esp if you haven't tried it yet.

If I have learned nothing over the years, at least I've learned this: You don't know what something will be like until you're in it. "You signed up for..." or "You chose this..." completely miss the mark.

This is when trump was elected the first time. I immediately flipped sides because I was so appalled that republicans and conservatives alike would vote for someone so vile and unprofessional solely because he was their rep. You have to think past labels.

When I got out, I got married to amazing person and had a child. Suddenly, I was a stay at home mom. I was depressed and isolated, and I felt trapped. This was compounded by others telling me how lucky I was to be at home with my daughter, it only made me feel more guilty.
