Today, Little Secrets and I visited the Prison Nursing Unlocked exhibition at the Royal College of Nursing– my new crime novel has a 1990s prison nurse at the heart of it, so it’s perfect timing. A really interesting exhibition and great to see some real prison-nurse items mentioned in my book.

It’s been a quiet year for crochet. Only 6 small crochet projects. Not much time to spare, with the ups and downs of family life, a full-time day job and editing my prison book (to get an agent and, over the last month, for my agent). 3/6 have been gifts.

A few days ago, I decided to challenge myself to crochet a Chanukah jumper. Fortunately, it was only going to fit someone 12cm high (though I needed to crochet him too). And I’ve just finished him in time for tonight. Phew…

This year, Chanukah & Christmas coincide. This doesn’t happen very often.
It happened when I was plotting The Redeemer – that overlap is part of the plot.
Whatever you’re celebrating, I hope it’s a good one.
