As someone who studied European history (1929 to 1939) in college, I can tell you Carney doing the right things, not the France or Poland things.

eg 67% of people in Nanaimo area voted for someone other than the Cons. Votes split between NDP, Green and Liberal.
33% of voters chose Con.

Where are all the Republican and Democratic House members? Why are the elected officials so quiet except for a few brave souls/women?
How can they possibly be so confident in keeping their seats or are they all profiting under the table somehow?
