Sharp.” “You won’t hurt me,” she replied softly. “Not unless I ask you to, remember?” “I remember.” He edged one single talon into her mouth slowly, as if unsure what she wanted. She licked it eagerly, careful to avoid the razor-sharp tip, and heard his breathing catch again. Resisting the urge to smirk, she closed her lips around the hard, curved talon and sucked gently, digging her nails into his muscled forearm. “Shit.” The sharp profanity didn’t match the careful way he withdrew from her mouth, or his gentle caress against her cheek. “I can’t… I’ll cut your mouth if you carry on, sweetness. I won’t be able to stop myself.”
