🧵 This is one of the books I’ve read over the holidays. It’s published by Persephone Books, a small bookshop in Bath, who mainly print novels and diaries by overlooked women writers of the 1930s and 40s. This one is about a German woman engaged to a Jewish doctor during the rise of Nazi Germany
