Week 1 of summer hols spent in Cornwall, mostly on the beach. I’m covered in sand. The car is full of sand. The holiday house is full of sand. I step out the shower and still find sand over my legs. The dog whimpers at the sight sand.
The beach has no sand left.
Time to leave Cornwall 🤣

Half term so far: lots of baking, socialising (and gin)! Two conclusions drawn so far: homemade pizzas only from now on, and rollerskating is a young person’s game.

Only one way to recover… I drove home in silence with the cold air on full.

I had a marvellous time driving the biggest van I could rent for the past 24 hours, helping family with a house move.
I really love being around more in the summer, and the biggest September dread comes from worrying I will no longer have the energy to give to friends and family that they deserve.
