Wandering through ancient cities, atop the glorious walls, through the winding streets. My heart beats in rhythm to an old song heard anew. Dubrovnik enters the marrow of my bones.

Some children believe in a tooth fairy “magically”
when they are very young. Personally, I don’t know any adult that does. A child might be rewarded if/when their favorite channel is on. Most would be aware of the difference between on and off. The faith of most adults is in the middle level.

Check out the new TIME magazine. We went to the Golden Eagle Festival in Mongolia last fall. We were hosted in the ger of the winner the morning of the championship competition (not knowing he would win). What an experience! Check MIR Travel, Seattle.

James Fowler’s cross-cultural research (based on quantitative and qualitative aspects of the work of Piaget, Kohlberg, and Erikson) is the foundation research on stages of faith. Here we’d be focusing on the post-conventional morality.

Putin's Oligarchs live well. Until they don't. We learned how seldom Yanukovych actually stayed at this country estate and how paranoid he was. With good reason. These pictures indicate who had died and how they died. 1)

This girl and her family were sitting back behind us. She kept sneaking up by the railing to see. Then Daddy took her hand and brought her here, squatting down so he wasn’t in anyone’s way. He must have been uncomfortable for the next 30 minutes. His daughter was mesmerized. Nice to see…

Sean Duffy’s stage of moral development - Stages 1/2, egotistic self-interest, avoiding punishment from Trump, Musk with a touch of Stage 3, Good Boy within an ethnocentric circle of us (versus them). Lacks the critical thinking skills for Stage 4.

From James Fowler's "Stages of Faith,” referring to Erik Erikson's psychosocial stages of development. The biggest such challenge an infant/toddler faces is developing trust (vs. mistrust) in his or her parents/caregivers. The last psychosocial challenge the elderly face is integrity vs. despair.

Kauai Quilt Show. This was my favorite. 102” x 102”. The lighter background fabric had an hibiscus pattern.

Somebody asked about books. This is a book from former priest and theologian Matthew Fox, his third book about evil. He uses Antichrist not as a person but as an archetype. It is quite thought-provoking.

Sunset on Maui.

Don’t forget to get your bare feet in grass today or dig your toes into sand or soil. We need to keep ourselves grounded.
