I mean, realistically and happily for us we are not quite front-lines. Our city has really high vaccine rates and our pediatricians are committed to the AAP vaccine schedule no matter what weirdness the CDC gets up to. But we are all safer when we’re all safer!!

I was a little bummed to give up my shovel to my neighbors (I assumed they were just doing their sidewalks, I also would like to get ahead as there’s already a foot down and more coming). But they joined the brigade and now the brigade has shoveled my sidewalks for me while I record a lecture 🥹

So the questions are a bit lighter than that. Given self-driving tech, will she ever need a driver’s license? Will GRRM ever publish the last two ASOIAF books? What will be the most populous nation on the planet? Will a human have visited Mars?

Obviously we could have gone really dark with this. How many kids in the US will have polio when she’s 16? Will women have the right to vote? Will the EPA exist, will coral reefs still exist, will the U.S. exist?

She’s so tender, so small. I have hope that we’ll fix this mess for her.
