Our beloved Bella Best Dog left us yesterday after a short illness. She joined our family aged about two and remained a stubborn, joyful, and gentle presence in our home for the next fifteen years.

Secretly, I’d hoped she’d live forever. I’m devastated to find out I was wrong.
Bella in 2011 when she first joined our household, rehomed from a council flat in Glasgow. My brother once described her as 'fluff with a tongue.' Bella a few weeks ago on holiday in Suffolk. Still full of life but definitely showing her age. Always beautiful.
