The only thing it fixed was letting you move off Noctis gameplay when you're bored. Not like the others are that much more of an improvement and it's jankily implemented, but it's something.

Even as someone who doesn't necessarily mind crossover stuff (done well), it's something that should really feel like a special occasion that immediately stops feeling like it when it's 90% of your product line-up. Eating cake for every meal shit.

I think the way people engage with games now compounds this. Non-streamers are binging games to avoid spoilers, while streamers are hunkering down for 4-8 hour marathon sessions while people yell at them. Both approaches just amass deep frustrations with anything that impedes progress.
