Just finished polishing up the game for the time being (hoping the Game Show will bring more feedback). I added some visual guides to the beginning to help players navigate the right to left scroll experience as well as balancing the feeling of the jumps for going backward #SmallGameStudio

I forgot to post about it when I had finished it, but I have a finished draft of "The Beginner's Manga" ready to playtest! I have an idea of where I might take it as it is still a museum-like walkthrough game but I'll see after the playtesting. #SmallGameStudio

Despite having an idea of the game's direction, I actually went back to make the game more like a game, rather than just a museum walk experience. Introducing unlockable secrets that utilize mechanics the player learns would definitely help with that. #SmallGameStudio

I found that completing a mood board was really helpful for pinpointing what to include for my next project. It will play closer to a normal walking simulator-tutorial, teaching players about something at a slow pace, rather than a platformer game. #SmallGameStudio

I'm really fixated on playing with a limited light source for the next game. Initially I was planning to attach a flashlight to the player characters, but then found that I liked the impact of a still light. Now I want to try and incorporate both. #SmallGameStudio

We played “the marriage” which was a really interesting survival-like game where you are in charge of maintaining the health of two squares that will fade or grow according to different conditions. A very introspective look into relationships. #SmallGameStudioArcade3

I'm currently working on a Pac-Man clone to help learn coding 3D game controls! I was able to implement an offscreen map connection but am still exploring how to collide with the many different maze walls. #SmallGameStudio

I just published "A Chronically Spooky Spirit Escapee Walks to Their New Vessel's Home", a short, text-based game where you play as a spirit escapee trying to avoid the suspicion of a demon trying to take you back to Hell! Check it out here: vicdoan2.itch.io/acssewttnvh

I was originally going to make an interrogation-based game, but decided on something more supernatural, but still adjacent. I finished planning out the dialogue, actions, and art that I'll need for the game's story. Now its time to piece it all together! #SmallGameStudio

We played “Types of Narrative Choices” which lets the player explore making different types of choices from moral choices to fake choices that can be implemented in storytelling. #SmallGameStudioArcade2

I converted my console game APPLES to TextMeshPro form and was also able to add images to spice up the interface! Matching up all the TMP to the proper TextMeshProUGUI variables was very satisfying (please excuse the "yummeter"). #SmallGameStudio

I just finished programming something for the very first time! After exploring the Random.Range function and if statements, I was able to make "One in a Thousand", a short game that you win once you get the lucky number "1". #SmallGameStudio

Just finished playing Anthology of the Killer, we got to go through multiple flat paper drawing-like rooms, but didn't get to explore much of the different spaces. the borders of the game were also strangely cut off #SmallGameStudioArcade1

I drafted the overall environment of Project 1 by exploring lighting and importing models and textures. The monotony of the scene fits the narrative I want, but I'll definitely be detailing the place with smaller objects. #SmallGameStudio

Just finished adding the FPSController to the project! Initially I had an "InputOperationException" error that prevented it from working, but after fixing it in the settings I was able to move and jump around the blocks just fine. #SmallGameStudio

For "Hello World", I used used Unity for the first time to make a geometric play space. I played with scaling and rotating the shapes, and eventually added colors and metallic/smooth textures to them as well! #SmallGameStudio
