I also knew it was Dark Souls-y at the time (hello bloodstain mechanic) but I think I didn't quite appreciate the first time around just how well it hits the "large cast of inscrutable weirdos" feel that From games excel at. I also get the feeling it won't end amazingly for most folks

But bouncing on things with the nail feels really satisfying, the dash is snappy and fun to chain (especially with the dash CDR pin), and the fights feel the right amount of "the enemy will telegraph these attacks and the safe area will be pretty obvious but it _will_ hit you if you aren't decisive"

I haven't died to anything more than once yet, which does help it feel breezier

I thiiiink if it's not clicking to start up, the igniter actually has decent power draw? Huge pain in the butt, though
