You can work on writing after a good nap, you work better after napping anyways. You set your head onto your desk, just planning to rest your eyes. Before you knew it, though, you were already out cold. You stood, in a silent world. The ground was mirrored, and light flowed gently from the sky. A gentle hum escaped from the distance, as you looked around. There wasn’t much around, not even a single recognizable monument. There was just… nothing but you in this world. Soft feathers, overtaking your human hands, hiding them away. Blue feathers, all over your wrists, integrating themselves all over. You blink, and your hands aren’t… “hands”, in a sense. More just flexible feathers, that feel soft and right. It wasn’t done yet, as the feathers kept sprouting from your arm, pulling themselves upwards like the best gloves you’ve ever worn. You knew those weren’t gloves, and that they weren’t ever coming off. You could consider your old arms AS gloves, as you’re switching them out with feathers anyways! You took a breath, as the feathers covered your chest, pushing it outwards, to the perfect size. Everything was finally lining up to how it was supposed to be, phantom feelings losing the ghostly connotations, and just becoming… feelings. The feathers covered your stomach, shirt becoming sliced up from all the feathers sprouting. Your clothes weren’t fitting anymore, but it didn’t matter. You had feathers, and the feathers were so soft. They went up your neck, puffing out into a comfortable place to rest and hold your head. You happily chirped, almost on second instinct, as your face was fully reshaped, eyes changing hue. As your feet turned into a more “correct” shape for your form, slimming into bird feet, you looked down at the ground, looking at your reflection. It’s you!! You suddenly jolt awake, at the royal guard’s station! You yawned, stretching and thinking about that weird dream. The… people you dreamed about’ll be fine! They’ll be okay, you just gotta get a bit of paperwork done for some arrests… …you’re so sleepy… …zzzzz…
