Not to say that I’m a workaholic, but I’m definitely one who feels pressured to do a lot with my time. It’s the nature of VGC. It’s an aspect of having been workforce employed full-time while in college. It keeps my racing thoughts occupied. But… peace of mind is worth more than… a piece of time 🤭🙈💯

The rest of the team are incumbent upon Sash Stellar Urshifu, and in a way this actually mirrors the Iron Boulder team I was planning on using in the Grand Challenge:

Surging Strikes in Rain. Flutter Mane hits dragons. Sludge Bomb hits Grass types. Fighting / Ghost covers everything else.

A bit ironic, as my very initial plan was to just use Wolfe’s team, but I digress.

Reasons for Sash + Stellar Urshifu:

1) It allows Urshifu to function as Jolly in Tailwind to outspeed and KO Booster Flutter Mane.

2) Stellar enables the aforementioned calc.

3) Surging Strikes in Rain is broken.

This Grand Challenge — combined with Victory Road tournaments — will allow me to stay abreast of Regulation Set F leading up to Toronto, which is incredible.

I can’t understate how difficult everything else would otherwise be in these circumstances. Such synchronicities have been almost divine.

I’ve had to be exceptionally strategic in how I approach Regulation Set F, due to there being no in-game ladder for the format.

However, as I anticipated, there is a Grand Challenge for this format, and luckily it’s just the week before Toronto. The timing of this is actually super duper valuable.

I may even consider Wolfe’s team at this point. At least into the Grand Challenge, if anything. These new teams are looking pretty weak to dual genie.

This was going to be the Tornadus variant of the Iron Boulder team.

However, given the current state of the meta, I feel the need to build a team around Focus Sash Urshifu, which requires a slightly different archetype entirely 🤷🏾‍♂️

Thinking about a Battle Stadium Doubles version of the Iron Boulder team I may bring to Toronto. One that operates more aggressively while using similar tools to cleave through Swiss cheese and try to win fast.

They say nothing in this world changes — things always stay the same.

Iron Boulder is an awesome Pokemon. But I find myself needing to build around Focus Sash Urshifu at this very moment 🤔

At work I considered the possibility that Arc Flutter is just bait. And then I watch the JoeUX9 video on Regulation F and he effectively says the same thing.

Like… the format is about hyper focusing on balance (which is bait) or having a subpar team.

And then Wolfe somehow always breaks the meta.

I’ll explain what the Tornadus variant of the team is later today.

Also for some reason, a few people are running Will-O-Wisp Incineroar right now. So Tera Fire Garchomp may be extra good. I’ll have to run some analysis.
