I haven’t scrolled the whole thread, so someone may have already made this observation, but many of the Scouts have an option where you can donate the cookies you buy to a food bank or another charity. Great if you don’t want the temptation of cookies lying around, and a doubly good thing to do!

Agreed, but I think you’re low on your estimate on the number of people on the planet who deserve it more. Preschoolers who grudgingly share their goldfish crackers with their classmates who dropped theirs have done more to deserve the Peace Prize than he has.

My own long-departed tabby did a similar “chicky” dance when my mom would cut up a chicken. Desperate eck-eck-ecks and much stretching, holding onto cabinet pulls, with paws just barely failing to reach the prize. I miss that little dummy.
