Unfortunate how a video I'm the most proud of quality wise compared to pretty much anything I've been out lately on main is getting the most flack I've seen in a while mostly because...of the timing of the video?? Probably wouldn't be as annoyed if the work put into it was much less.

Today I learned the guy who made this hit piece on ZA is the real life brother of the guy who called Spider Man 2 woke propaganda. Really helped paint a clearer picture 🤣

I feel like the Youtube algorithm has changed in a way where they don't push channels consistently anymore. Like if a channel has one video do REALLY well, usually the algorithm would continue to push future content from that channel to where those newer videos would get relatively comparable stats.

I think what annoys me the most about "Nintendo negativity content" more than anything is it takes absolutely 0 effort to make. You skim through these people's videos and it's 20+ min of uncut gameplay footage of some random game while they yap. Video proceeds to get like 30k views in a day.

Just saw a YouTube community tab post where someone unironically quoted Malcom X about how the gaming industry is manipulating the masses with every new decision they make. Any time I think I'm too chronically online I'm just going to look at that post to make myself feel better 👍

Starting to question if I even want to cover Hazbin S2 to the same extent as I did with S1. Both videos I made on S2's trailers have been flopping in ways I didn't think was possible considering how well my S1 content performed. Idk why the drop is this drastic it feels super weird :/

Even though what they've been doing as a company is undeniably bad, it kinda sucks how the only Nintendo related content that does well on YouTube rn is videos like "Nintendo sucks now here's why" type ones. Makes me want to branch out a little more but easier said than done.

Glad the Hollow Knight video I did seems to be doing well but I am noticing the fandom for those games is a LOT more prickly than the Deltarune people lol. Figured if anything it would've been the other way around with how people talk about Deltarune fans but nope!

I'd like Mario spin off characters in more games as much as the next guy but man some people online are so aggressive about it lol. I'll see accounts whose entire online footprint is RTing art or regurgitating the same tweets about how much Nintendo hates Mario RPGs. Gives off odd vibes to me idk 🤔

Tried making a thumbnail for a VGMarkis video and ended up putting myself in a bad mood trying to find a good look for it lol. It's so annoying how uninspired I've been when it comes to content creation about animation. I want it back the way it used to be but my mindset still isn't improving.

Probably going to go on the hunt for another side job again. The one I'm currently at is starting to feel like a scam. Supposed to be biweekly paychecks and still haven't received the for the hours of the week of July 17th. Communication from higher ups/other team members almost non existent too.

One thing that stinks about making content on a new game, show, movie etc is the people who essentially go out of their way to get mad about spoilers.

One of my "faults" I guess when I go about making gaming content is, I don't have the desire to finish a game within 24 hours of it's release for what's essentially the sole purpose of putting content out quicker. So many of these other Youtubers do it no problem and I'm just not built like that.

Starting to get in my own head again which sucks. The video on Mario Basketball's slow start combined with the job I got hired for becoming more of a clown show by the day to the point where I'm probably not even gonna be around there for 6 months before I leave.

Hoping this video I did about Mario Basketball games ends up taking off despite it starting off slow. It's one of those videos that I had fun making, was a pretty niche yet interesting topic most people haven't covered like that, and the title and thumbnail were ideal. Gonna be bummed if it flops.

It's so interesting to me how Youtube Shorts are so insanely detached from regular length videos even if the topics being discussed for both forms on one channel are the same.
