Really enjoyed this article (as well as the aesthetics one), it reminded me of how much the Alara block fascinated me when I started playing (I started playing in Zendikar) and makes me want to revisit it for my cube. Thanks for writing!

Season 2 was actually announced the day the finale for season 1 dropped. However we don't have a release date.

Did you mean Faith or do you mean actual Holy damage? Did Str+Faith for my playthrough and I found that the good Faith weapons are kind of backloaded. I remember going to Mt Gelmir pretty early and grabbing some weapons that helped me a lot though most dealt fire damage.

In real life a division is somewhere between 10,000 to 25,000 troops. So a shitload, probably meant to occupy and repress a planetary capital.

Did not know they were still making Styx games. I've never actually played one but I was always interested, so I'll be keeping an eye on the new one.

"China bad" is a more compelling and comforting narrative than the idea that unchecked capitalism and global warming have serious consequences (especially when the chain of causality is complex and somewhat opaque)

Fair enough lol. Your original point still stands as well. One thing I've learned from driving is how much $ worth of damages can rack up even from relatively low speed collisions.

I think it's pretty easy for cars to spin out quite a bit from mid-high speed collisions (especially if drivers swerve at the last minute to try and avoid collisions) which can cause some of these seemingly inexplicable orientations after the fact.

I have to assume that a snowy pine forest is one of the best landscapes to help someone survive that kind of fall - thinner branches that break and absorb force + snow everywhere.
