On July 8, 1991, eight men founded VFP Chapter 46 in Monterey. Charter members include veterans Gordon Smith, Phil Butler, True Boardman, Rolland Fletcher, Jerry Eppler, Sam Karas, Ed Leeper, and Bill Stewart.
