People who knew Neil Armstrong solely as the first man on the moon wanted this to be a piece of hero worship, instead of the humbling look at a regular man that it was.

Also Justin Hurwitz was robbed of Best Original Score at the Oscars that year.

1. The Fall

This wasn't what I was originally going to put as number 1, but when it came into my head it couldn't have been any other.

There's not a single bad performance in this movie, and it's easily one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen, both aesthetically and otherwise.
