- I’m also taking on my first gig as a freelance developer, which came through my network. A couple of intense weeks ahead, wish me luck!

Isn't all this clearly too much for one person? Probably! That's why I'm working with great people. It was never meant to be done alone

- Breathwork sessions are going strong every 2 weeks in Rome. People find me on Google and ChatGPT, since I'm the only facilitator in town. Pretty wild.

- Since summer, I'm the CTO and cofounder of The Great Shift with Domenico. We built the new learning platform and educational mini-apps, which I'll use myself to become a business coach. We're starting to promote it and are hiring a person in charge of the whole marketing.

- Speaking of Nomad Fests, in 3 weeks I'll fly to Sardinia for the first event held there to make locals meet with nomads. Curious to hear the talks and see some old friends in the space. Check adomu.io for info.

- Nomad Retreats is also the co-organizer of the first-ever Italia Nomad Fest! It will happen in the energizing city of Palermo, 8-15 March. Can't be more excited!
Plus, it will be the stage of the Nomad Retreats Awards ceremony! I expect some of you reading this to be nominated.

- For Nomads Retreats, I rebuilt in 3 days from scratch with GPT-5 what took 6 months on a no-code platform (coming soon). And we hired the great retreat host @evaieridou as our marketing genius!

Chances are you'll start an exhilarating journey of transformation that will take you to destinations in life you didn't even dream of.

Curious for WHAT is the change and more details?
Let's converse in the replies!

To wrap up: in the first place, you were never meant to do "all this" alone.
Second, you can often choose the people you surround yourself with.

If you're called to change something in your life, you can start by surrounding yourself with people who have already changed that.

Being so inspired and seeing the sea of possibilities are some reasons why I was growing, why my needs changed and why I eventually had to quit my job.

Thanks to @CesalBerca for his fresh perspective (and the beautiful reel) that made me realize this!

This is the second ingredient:
I had met people who had gone through transformation and I was exposed to their stories.

And this is what the digital nomad movement is fundamentally about, in its most powerful form:
A tribe of people who changed and inspire others to change.

I wasn't spending in-person time with my colleagues, even though I’d been working remotely with them since 2012.

When I started traveling as a digital nomad in 2019, I began meeting in-person (in retreats, festivals or just colivings) quite a different set of people.

Even the Bible says: "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)

But...there was no Instagram at the Bible's time, so I think meaningful in-person connections are what the proverb means.

This is the first ingredient of how I changed, without noticing.

You've probably heard:
"You're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with."
Or variations about people you admire, grow up with, or even...follow on social media.

Ok, but I will keep ignoring this post and believe that this is how the revolt started. Thank you for such an awesome prequel! 😄

Curious to hear from others — what's one thing going nomadic didn't solve for you, but taught you to handle better?

Always love swapping lessons from the road less traveled ✌️

So no: going nomadic won't magically fix your life.

But it will give you freedom to design a life you're proud of. Where the struggles you face are aligned and meaningful to you.
A life worth building.

(for the story of what I'm building, stay tuned)

Every challenge, and fuck-up, is a new lesson worth learning.
June 9, 2025 at 6:39 PM
- Learn to drive barely street-legal vehicles on left-hand roads, through total traffic chaos or amidst tropical storms in pitch-dark jungles.

- Managing work calls with people on 4 timezones and whimsy WiFi, without a nervous breakdown.
June 9, 2025 at 6:39 PM
For me, the "back to school" mindset and accepting that learning never stops, paid off.

- I had to fix visas issues with only 10 days in the country (yup, I messed up even after years on the road)
June 9, 2025 at 6:39 PM
One mindset that helped me a lot to deal with it:
→ Stay curious.
→ Stay flexible.

Growth is the constant.
Challenges are coming your way.
Learning as you go is key.

The real deal of being nomadic is this:
you get to choose your new problems.

You'll still face uncertainty, bad accommodation choices, loneliness, plane delays, cultural differences…

But these are problems stemming from the life you want, not the life you were trapped in.
