For the Android folk: make sure "Show Lockdown mode option" is enabled in your settings! It allows you to disable biometric input as well as all notifications from showing up on the lock screen. It works even when the phone is locked, so anyone can trigger it.

For the Android folk: modern versions of Android have a setting called "Lockdown mode" which disables biometric input until a password is entered in. You can find the option under your lock screen settings, and the option can be instantly triggered, even when the phone is locked, from the power menu
