UPDATE on the homebrew 40k rules. Painfully I mulled over how to redo the AP system and came up with a solution!
The reason is to make space marines and custodes and even sisters feel much more elite but give a chance to low AP armies a chance! #warhammercommunity #nerdlings #warmongers
New armour piercing system for a custom homebrew warhammer 40k edition/ruleset (indented to be free and publically available) based on an older edition. If the save score is higher then the AP, lower the save by 1 (a 3+ save becomes a 4+). If the save is equal to the AP, lower it by 2 (a 3+ becomes a 5+ save). If the save is worse then the AP then no save at all. The reason is to make elite armies play like elite armies due to 10th edition feels like the armour is paper and the counter is to make marine and custodies armies quasi horde armies.
