You can! I actually got it to do that, but my thumb is a bit too jittery atm. Having the DPI on its lowest setting might help with that.

Actually, that’s been applicable to 2D artists as well. PSD files I’ve been privileged enough to see through supporting artists on Patreon have taught me a lot about colors and blending layers.

For 3D artists, reverse engineering premade models can teach you a lot. Sketchfab is full of free models as is Smutbase and Open3DLab. Of course, don’t steal others’ work, but it’s as useful as tracing to get the muscle memory and understanding basics
