Tried Codex today on a few low-priority engineering tasks. It did surprisingly well — I only had to suggest improvements and review the PR. With MCP and better workflow support, this could become a serious productivity boost.

Today I asked windsurf to extract a react view into its own file. It took 20 mins and got stuck screwing up my primary file. Luckily I commit my changes often.
Tip: make frequent git commits.

I tried to vibe code my way into a new project. Using Expo + Supabase.
It was difficult to make Google OAuth work in both web and iOS. After several iterations, I had to read up on how Expo works to come up with a directory structure that made login work as intended.
