Btw, lightweight doesn't mesn bad, it just means faster, just less components or unncessary things that Windows usually install without your permission, all distros will ask you what you want and you are able to install more or uninstall some stuff depending on your needs, Linux is a game changer!

It is really really good, if you wanna start easy, you can install mint xfce and then install KDE plasma like pelo, or if you wanna go lightweight, you can install EndeavourOS and use KDE plasma (KDE plasma is king talking about artists), if you are tired of paying some programs, you can go open src

It's normal, haha, the one that's recommended for artists is always KDE plasma, and with very good reasons

I believe you can install the desktop enviroment, it isn't officially supported, but you can install it there

KDE carrying the weight of being the best WM for artists: 💪, btw, if you want speed, EndeavourOS is a pretty good OS, it has the great things that Arch have and it's easier because it comes with some preinstalled packages and more! It's also pretty pretty fast, best combination in my opinion!
