Same name on Twitter- if you're here then you know me. Age: 27, here for the arts and socials. I write less than I used to, but I haven't given up on my current runs!
It looks like it was hit on the side- the area around the tire is all pushed in. If the motor mounts did their job and the hood wasn't completely caved in then it's very possible the engine survived. Now who's looking for an 06 Acura engine IDK but I guess it's there lol.

The interior is also probably fine with the exception of the pillars and headliner and the dash because of the airbags punching through it. And the engine block could probably be pulled. Fuel tank and rail for sure. Wiring too. ECU and whatnot. Somewhat useful things.

Usually the 1234+ pricing means "negotiable" etc. Likely he was parting it off, and it's kind of a code word in FB Marketplace. Usually to try and get people to talk to you and find out more.

Still. I'm not sure how many useful bits you can get from a car that fucked though lol.

I found this thing on sale near me once and it made my day. Like all right, I guess that really does happen to people. Sorry about your flipped sedan buddy, but this is hilarious.

Pickled ginger dipped in soy sauce is a treat.

Can confirm Harris Teeter (Kroger sub brand) had some. Target also seems to keep some on hand, though it can fall out of stock pretty quickly.

I did this, and it was quite expensive. I got a lot of it at once, but it was almost 8x more per ounce than buying a box of Cascade. But we just couldn't find powder anywhere anymore! Target has picked up more powder stock recently though so that's nice, and we found some at our military commissary.

Even more customizations are available if you use Uplift. I also find they have a broader range of weight tolerances. Which is good for me because I tend to brutalize projects on my desk and need the extra support.

Uplift is a rabbit hole. The customizations are endless.

It's not a cheap answer, but FlexiSpot does all of this. I'm planning on buying two of them later this year for my husband and I. The tops on them aren't bad, but I have butcher block countertops that I use and like. You can attach your own top.

You can get all sorts of add ons like a PC shelf.

Succulent clones make me so happy. Just take a little guy off your little guy and get more little guys! Plant copypasta.

If anyone is looking for flagship phones that do headphone jacks still- Sony Xperia does. Granted I had to import it and dev kit it so it could run in the States, but it wasn't hard. I had my last Xperia for five years, they're decently built.

I got to see a live playing of the album with orchestra and it was incredible. I also have one of the signed vinyl copies.

I super recommend the game! I participate in Return to Journey every year and help sherpa people to getting all the scarf runes (if they listen that is). It's a great time.

I'm in Cybersecurity/Network Engineering/IT and yeah. I like my bullshit contained to my workstations and servers.

HOWEVER I would absolutely all in a logical, secure, fully localized home automation system. And there's a few companies out there enabling that possibility.

I'm trying to fix the fucking DOORS why is the ALARM SYSTEM running the INTERIOR POWER? And why is it all connected downstream of the FUCKING AC UNIT?

Just a little guy with only an ECU and a useless brick of a BCU trying to get by in life.

That's what it earnestly feels like sometimes.

On the flip side we have a 25 year old car too and it's barely computerized and I think that in-between is actually worse than a fully non-computerized and a fully-computerized car.

It's honestly rage-inducing trying to troubleshoot it.

The lack of backup cam is also a bummer about having a 2013, but since I installed a new head unit it now has the option to plug one in.

The problem is I HATE the cameras that attach to the license holder. So I might have to angle grind a larger hole in my trunk to get the flippy-badge one I want.

My 2013 Jetta will have to be taken by my cold, dead hands.

Just modern enough I was able to install an OEM Android Auto head unit and the computer tells me when and where things are wrong when called on, but old enough that I don't have to deal with modern car bullshit. It's so nice.

I've been working on repairing my creativity drive, but it's hard. I honestly feel afraid to create most days, and it's wrapped up in a ton of my anxiety and depression. It feels like something I have to hide, instead of share.

Also I need consistent fucking sleep if I ever want to get work done. 🫠

You and me both. I think that period of time was the one where I truly enjoyed creating, and had the drive to do so.

Now I stare at a screen hoping that something hits me because I miss writing and losing hours of my time doing it.
