I finally did a thing again. Emperor’s Children worship a god of excess so I figured that included using the chaos accessory sprue excessively.

It’ll carry noise marines so the speaker is in place of the havoc launcher and I feel like the guy peeking out near the turret is funnier. #40k #warhammer

This MGSD line is pretty awesome, now I would like more gundams I actually like please. Strike Noir, ZZ, I know they like to randomly show the GP01 some love on occasion.

Great engineering in a fun shape. More photos later maybe (doubtful).

The first and only issue of the new Red Hood comic book with an alternate cover that depicts the titular character mid action, firing a gun at presumably a bad person whom he’s judged deserves to be shot.

I have joined and played one game of my first crusade league for 40K.
My little Halloween themed nids snuck out a win against some templars by being numerous and annoying (at great cost of life and limb but that’s what the biomass is for).

Last month I finally started my MGSD Gundam Barbatos kit.
Was amazed there was a textured silver piece that sits behind the clear green of the eyes which looks fantastic.
The rest of the engineering is equally stellar so far.

A “statue” on a concrete base surrounded by grass. It is some sort of giant Teddy bear walking a Pomeranian dog, though the bear’s face is far too small on its large head. Its 1000 yard stare now haunts you as it has haunted me.

Was super curious about these Zoids Realize models because I built some of the motorized ones as a kid.
It sacrifices some of the fiddly details of the HMM line for a far more solid model that still has pretty good articulation. I think it looks great.

Went into an old hard drive looking for music, but remembered I took pictures of some of my gunpla with a cheap light box, my DSLR, and bad natural lighting (a long time ago). Guess I can try to clean up and share these.
HG 1/144 Gundam Deathscythe Hell Custom clear version. Zoomed in on just the torso and arms. I think it was metallic out of the box and I might have added more metallic paint on the inside of the clear parts?

I did in fact do hobby a few weeks ago. I couldn’t get past twfm’s school setting but ep 0 looked great. Love the colors on this one.

I know some people have feelings about too much panel lining but I haven’t done this in a long time and like the contours it creates even if it is heavy.

Purchasing this RG Freedom Gundam finally got me to start watching seed past the first episode. It’s fine. I’m reserving the right to change my mind because I like the mobile suits but I did not need a pop star in my war story (despite me also enjoying Robotech)

Oh wow did I let my friends drag me into yet another GW game? Yeah…

This time it’s fantasy football, extra fantasy.

Picked up the HG Hi Nu Gundam last weekend on a whim. This amount of stickers is promising.
A just opened gundam model box. Still in a clear plastic wrapper and in focus are two small sticker sheets used for details like eyes and head cameras for the model. Behind that is a second sheet with clear decals. Behind both are plastic “runners” which are injection molded frames that hold the pieces you cut out and fit together for the model.

Did this a week ago. Haven’t seen the movie. Haven’t even seen gundam seed. Just wanted to see what modern HG engineering was like and pretty happy with the results.

Prefer these double hinge shoulders as opposed to the twfm solution which was a free floating shoulder on a ball joint?

About a month later and we’re done. This is the third Lupus Rex I’ve built so nothing new and exciting on that front but damn does this “iron blooded coating” look good. Light piping on the clear green eyes is fantastic.

1/144 HGIBO Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex “iron blooded coating” version. A scale plastic model kit of a giant robot from Gundam Iron Blooded Orohans. The kit is monochrome with a metallic silver finish on most of the armor with some parts like the inner frame poking through a darker duller shade. The legs are set apart, right arm extended hand splayed, left arm behind holding the large mace weapon and tail hovering over the left shoulder. In a shitty cheap light box I bought online a decade ago. Same as described in first photo but rotated so the right arm is close to the camera. One green eye can be seen as light is reaching a clear plastic part in the back of the head and shining through (referred to as “light piping”) Zoomed in portrait shot of the kit. The eyes are clearly visible and look lit up thanks to the light piping described in photo two.

In game two we managed a compelled duel called a “toff off”. The small hill upon which one might roll their ankle and eat shit was chosen as the location. After exactly three turns of ineffectual slapping they both managed to die at the same time.

Both were the “toffs” of our turnip armies participating in their compelled duel. The miniatures mentioned in the previous image, now on their sides, as they were both now dead.
