Maybe part of the problem is because people who discuss experiences with ADHD are often successful people, rather than those of us who have more normal lives more likely to be negatively affected (hard to know how much a 9-5 office job sucks as someone with ADHD when you've never worked one I guess)

I don't think I've ever felt more seen in my life. ADHD havers so often portray our condition as something that not only isn't a hindrance, but helps them. It makes you dismiss the way it negatively impacts your daily life, which is especially harmful coming from those that share our experiences
