Her brand seems to be Canadian and a great dancer.

What about public defenders?

There was finally time to breathe for the first time and let the characters just exist outside of missions and fighting. I wish that the season was longer so there was more of that and maybe even some solo episodes for characters. As a whole it was alright but there were many wasted opportunities

And while I thought the storyline dragged and was wasted I'm still a sucker for the Mizrak and Orlox romance. Wish there was more of it. Also I genuinely though that the last 15 minutes were the best of the whole season. I even liked the Richter Annette romance finally.

Okay to end on some positive things. Even tho it wasn't perfect I did enjoy Maria's storyline. The grandpa Belmont and her had nice chemistry and surprisingly enough so did Alucard in the end. I'm excited to see if the three of them get a season.
February 16, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Oh and what a waste the story is in regards of the night creatures and their ontology/morality. It started off so strong with Eduard in the first season but this season while they had a storyline it was just so sidelined. The conclusion was so flat for me emotionally.

if they're gonna take theological liberties regarding Egyptian concepts of the soul in service of the story that's fine. But I cannot understand why in this story, where they have multiple versions of Sekhemet, and one is "the good healing one", that version isn't Hathor. are cows not cool enough?
February 16, 2025 at 8:16 PM
And last (hopefully) I hate to be the guy who nitpicks a piece of media for being an inaccurate portrayal of X mythology, but I'm gonna be that guy. I can't believe this whole series is about defeating Sekhemet and the different souls/variations of her, yet Hathor was not mentioned a single time
February 16, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Also there was no arc between Orlox and Richtor. Why wouldn't he kill him in the end? What was the motivation? Like I'm glad that it ended like that but what is motivating these characters. Why was Orlox even there? He was unnecessary to the scene. I guess they just wanted to tie up the storyline
February 16, 2025 at 8:06 PM
This season had a lot of characters but at the same time very little care given to writing them. It still looks pretty at least but it's such a waste. It's the opposite of economical story telling
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Why are there no ups and downs. They were so much more interesting in season one but the writers did nothing with them this time.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
And I truly don't understand this. There's barely any time for the characters so they need to rush through storylines (like maria), but then they keep wasting time being redundant with these two. If you wanna give them scenes, give them a storyline. Have them have conversations.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
And Orlox x Mizrak is completely flushed down the drainm every scene is: Orlox shows up because he has nothing to do, Mizrak tells him to fuck off and that he's an abomination, Orlox is sad. Repeat. Even when they kinda do something different they still end up having the same scene next time.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
And the orlox this season is just wasted. In the first season Orlox seems like he has a lot more going on than he lets on. He's hiding in the shadows biting his time kinda like Drucilla. But this season he just keeps doing nothing and just kinda hanging around without a plan
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
All that deeply. They don't have deep disagreements or scenes where you feel the weight of their relationship or why they need each other specifically. In the first season they had a lot more chemistry and interesting scenes idk what happened.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
On top of that the three heroes barely have shit to do during the season character wise, there's barely any chemistry. Suddenly they want to ship two characters but the writing doesn't give us a reason for the viewer to be on board. They don't go through emotional turmoil together or really talk-
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
And they're not even talking during the fight scenes because well, they don't know each other.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Drolta gets infinitely more time, and after she's brought back to life she snaps right back to just the dog of Erzebeth. The bad guys have barely any emotional ties to the protagonists and vice versa. Erzebeth might as well have just shown up for the first time in the end.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
And erzebeth is still just the most boring character. Especially compared to the previous big bad with layers like Dracula. Just like in Castlevania1 they spent the second season focusing on the antagonists more, but erzebeth gets barely anything.
February 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
There's either no time to truly focus/breathe and let the big moments have an impact (Maria's arc is so quick), or the time they have is poorly used (orlox and mizrak they have the same conversation repeatedly without development). There are so many characters that they don't have time to breathe.
