Supermarket shelves in Sintra Portugal after 7 hours of no power. It’s finally back on after 10 hours.

When I first left America 4.5 years ago, my breathing changed. I physically began breathing more calmly. My entire body relaxed.

All the years of worry, stress, & anxiety gradually melted away in a way that’s impossible to describe. The United States is toxic for bodies in countless invisible ways.

My senior year of high school I was arrested for kneeing my boyfriend in the balls while he was on top of me pinning me down hitting me.

The judge read a statement from the police officer, “It hurts worse to get kicked in the balls than to get hit around a little bit”
The judge dismissed the case.

They don’t care if you protest. They don’t care if you resist. They don’t care if you scream in the streets. They hold power, and they know nothing you do will touch them. Stop pretending these are normal people with shame, logic, or empathy. They aren’t—and they never were.

Unlike MAGA, I can read. I only read things Trump says, never listen or watch. His voice makes me physically nauseous. 🤢

If you need an exit plan, I can help. But if you’re waiting for the perfect time, let me be clear: The perfect time is already behind you. The next best time is now.

Just like I didn’t wait until I looked perfect in a bathing suit before enjoying every second at the Dead Sea….

A harsh truth: the longer you wait, the fewer choices you’ll have. If your exit strategy is “waiting to see how bad it gets,” I promise—it will get worse before you realize you waited too long.

Watching my daughters grow up without the fear, stress, and danger baked into American life is all the proof I need that leaving was the right choice. You don’t have to agree with me, but you don’t get to tell me I was wrong.

I have to remember that not everyone is ready or willing to hear even a whiff of a hint that how they are living their life is not perfect. Some people are VERY triggered if you respond to their string of complaints about their life with an idea for doing things differently. 😆🫣

Ireland has ranked as one of the top 5 happiest countries in the world. The U.S.? Not even in the top 15. Maybe constant economic anxiety and medical debt aren’t great for mental health.

It is extremely embarrassing being an American living in Europe. I am so ashamed of my country of birth.

It’s funny how people in the U.S. see moving abroad as some kind of challenge to be won or lost. Like I have to “prove” it’s better. I don’t.

But if it makes you feel better to pretend I secretly hate it, knock yourself out.

The future of propaganda isn’t fake news—it’s real news, but slightly tweaked. A different emphasis, a new sentence, a misquote. AI can make it undetectable, and that should terrify everyone.

I think these channels streaming our trusted news sources are laying the groundwork for future deep fakes.

If it were about evidence, it would’ve ended years ago. But it’s about belonging, grievance, and power. That’s why facts bounce off.

Tell your parents: if they’re watching news clips on a random YouTube channel instead of from the actual news network, they’re setting themselves up to be manipulated.

AI will make sure of it. Soon, AI will let them rewrite segments—so you’ll never be sure if what you’re watching was really said.

There’s a specific kind of person who watches me take risks, not out of admiration, but out of hope that I fail.

They seem to do it so they can feel like they made the right choice by never doing anything different in their own life.

I call these my, 'waiting for the other shoe to drop followers'

After dinner walk where I live…

My life is completely different since leaving the United States.

We are more calm, live slowly, and connect more.

You can’t win against people who have no shame. Their game isn’t about truth or integrity—it’s about exhausting you into silence.
February 26, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Some people aren’t searching for the truth—they’re avoiding it at all costs. No amount of evidence will change a mind that’s chosen denial as a way of life.
February 26, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Politicians aren’t struggling to pay rent. They aren’t worrying about medical bills. They aren’t 'just like you'—they just need you to believe they are. Don’t fall for the act. 🎭
