People always reference Idiocracy for the times we live in. I always think of Terry Gilliam’s Brazil, with the juxtaposition of the mundane against the unaware self-parody against the extreme violence happening all around us.

This was the 50th book I’ve read this year. It’s difficult to rank favorites, but this was one of them. I love memoirs, and this is already an all-timer for me.

I’ve never read more than 10 books in a year, so this was a pretty cool feat to accomplish at no $$$ cost. Support your local library!
