Teacher of applied entomology. Grew up off the grid. No kings, no slavers, no Nazis, and no suburban assholes who think they're country because they drive an $80,000 pickup truck.
I assume he then got a job at the car wash? Strangely, the article doesn't mention that.

There's literally a show where a convict joins a firefighting crew to shorten his prison sentence. But he's white, so it's an epic story of redemption.

I believe this species of bee is called the tab bee.

I have these pictures of him as "stickers" on my work computer for putting into slides.

In terms of number of decks I put it in, An Offer You Can't Refuse. In terms of the number of times I've technically cast it, Shrieking Drake because it's part of various infinite combos.

One time I reached out to scratch my cat's chest as he slept next to me, and he wrapped his paws around my hand and squeezed.

Definitely the mourning cloak butterfly for me. Overwinters as an adult and is a harbinger of spring - as a kid I’d see them flying around even as the last piles of snow were still melting.

Apollo has been enjoying his lower plinth lately.

This tracks for me. I usually like to keep things simple. My least favorite restaurants to go to are the ones that try to be fancy and end up adding weird extra ingredients to things. Always ruins it for me.

You don't have to do their work for them by saying it was an effort to "slash spending"

It seems if you don't want your fellow students to yell at you, you would avoid giving them more reasons to do so, like their friends having their visas revoked and being disappeared for writing an op-ed, or the research labs they work in being defunded.

We did it, we trumped low prices!

Someone at Wizards of the Coast has really had the lathe. Maga hurts a specific player or group of people (by an amount equal to "X"), and Maha makes creatures frail and weak. Presumably with measles. Or cancer-causing industrial emissions.

This is a minor aspect of Project 2025, but the one that most genuinely surprises me, considering the federal sugar program is a strongly protectionist measure meant to keep (heavily Trump-voting) domestic sugar beet and sugar cane growers competitive.
