My wife, Michelle, started following the Mediterranean diet at the same time that I began injections of my Ozempic like compound. I realize that with a reduced appetite, I need to be smart with my food intake. The increased protein and reduced carbs in my current diet should help.

I have just picked up my new Ozempic like compound prescription. Next injection is on 6/4. The amount of semaglutide dose has doubled to 0.5 mg.

I weighed in this morning at 299 pounds. Down six pounds over a little over 3 weeks.

My pharmacy took the time to show me how to inject this Ozempic like compound. Once a week I inject 25 units of the compound into my thigh. The first month initial dosages are "semaglutide 0.25mg". I just administered my 4th injection on 5/28.

The pharmacy in Poulsbo, that compounds semaglutide with B12, coached me to have the prescription mention that the compound needs to include B12 for fatigue or nausea. My provider included that in his aka Ozempic prescription. Finally, filled on 5/15.

Walgreens said the price for Ozempic is $1050 per month. Ouch. My provider, Eric, suggested that I go to a pharmacy, in Poulsbo, that compounds semaglutide - the magic potion of Ozempic. The pharmacy said they would compound the semaglutide with vitamin B12 at a price of $200 per month. Doable!

Walgreens submitted my prescription for Ozempic to my insurer, Regence BC/BS. Not covered. Regence will only cover Ozempic if there is a Type II diabetes diagnosis. My A1C was 6.3 on 4/30. Prediabetic. Type II diabetes is diagnosed with an A1C of 6.4. Bummer
