Wish I could be there today however
@london_aquarium ( on X) forces gentoo penguins to live in a basement with no access to daylight or fresh air. If you can't be there in person 👇& if you think, like many, this is appalling, at least let the world know about their #AnimalAbuse #londonsealife

this 👇 Off to see it tomorrow. Then a week later after a sharing of Sarah Hehir's work the Balkans beckon...for more political and difficult theatre - where theatre is not just theatre but life. It won't be hollow words but sometimes it feels so when life is on repeat.

I've struggled with food in the past & mostly eat the same foods every day week in & week out. And stress at eating out. I never knew...https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/mental-health/eating-disorders/avoidant-restrictive-food-intake-disorder-arfid/ Not the only one in my family

Badger in the kitchen! I hand fed this one (one of two in Devon) when I was a kid - this started outside the house I promise. But one day they found their way into the house... after two summers both the badgers stopped coming and I was gutted. Never found out why. #nationalbadgerday #stopthecull

sorry, Amazon has always been more than rubbish because of the way it treats its staff - this headline is not good enough

Done. You should too. SGARs don't just kill rodents, they kill non target species too. They are bad.

This snowy light through the stripes. It make me feel deliciously on edge, it makes me feel new, crisp and cold, yet I am restlessly feverish, hot and spiky. I can feel Autumn's anticipation and I want to go to it.

It's September. Which means things. & one thing it means for me is 5+ long funding applications plus one community award scheme to enter by the 30th. Eek. Luckily I have great folk like Gerald Townson to help from the LMCRP & @nickawde.bsky.social, who has also given me some grit & determination.

this is good news and we are so happy and excited @oiib.bsky.social to be working with Wild Ingleborough to raise awareness about curlews and their habitat in primary schools and audio stories for our app for the Bentham Line train

I spent 5 hours on day one & eight hours on day two rescuing bullheads, eels, young trout & dispersing them to different pools - some fish did not survive handling- mostly trout. Then we undammed a few pools which had been inexplicably blocked to increase water flow. I had no concept of time passing

Big moorland fire on the N. Yorkshire moors at Fylingdales under reported IMO with not much emphasis on the destruction to wildlife, any agriculture or risk to the lives of all those -fire fighters, farmers and keepers - fighting it. Two weeks, 2,000 acres, in its third week, still a major incident
