“I feel like I [have] a leg up when it comes to work because my apprenticeship was my first job, and it put me in a high end restaurant, a nice restaurant, instead of me having to go to fast food and trying to work my way up,” Brianna Blunt said.

Since then, the band has crashed Mardi Gras parades, formed their own krewe called Krewe of Zeitoun, and renamed their musical arm Hanoun Brass Band. They've held shows at venues like Café Istanbul, drawing crowds of around 70 people to performances mixing politics with local musical tradition.

Palestinian American musician Simon Moushabeck formed NOLA Musicians for Palestine in December 2023, arranging Arabic songs and Palestinian folk music for New Orleans brass instruments. The group debuted by crashing the Joan of Arc parade in January 2024.
