BBC Archive needs to seriously score a royal flush, and bring this doco about the centennial of the modern toilet, (featured in this recent upload by Neil Miles) to Youtube.

Who needs subs: AFLW Grand Final edition.

Whoever wrote said graphic needs to be carted off on a stretcher.

Incidentally, just over 30 years to the day, the "Beatles Anthology" ended up being a year-end hope for Seven.

Although, I somehow think a certain real civil engineer will think it's a "Beavles Anthology"...

A rarity tonight: a Foxtel break in transmission slide: on MSNBC… soon to be MS NOW (Foxtel Ch 612)

Sky... 70 decades is 700yrs.

Who needs subs, indeed, especially when reporting on a story as important as the death of the single most important force in talkback radio in Australia...

The big question, Tony Barber: how many floppy discs did Brashs give away in this promotion...

Who needs subs: Rex rescue package edition.

I just hope this wasn't written with AI.

It'd probably shock people if this turned up on a question card in time, from Don Lane's throw at late night humor back in 1988: considering Working Dog gave Pang his start, and the D Gen's love for Don Lane, to the point he was on the final Late Show (rights held by Working Dog)...

@flemishdog.bsky.social: Very interesting that the post '88 news update promo lacks a plug for Carroll at Seven.

There had been rumors as early as Expo 88's start, that Seven was raring to turf Carroll at Seven in favour of airing Hinch into Brisbane (following Sydney's lead)

As we mentioned, in Veritas on KW: On Sunday earlier today:

The reason why Peter Fegan was punted from 4BC is as plain as day.

As this data shows:

A key metric, has cratered by 25% in twelve months, inc. a significant drop since the 2025 federal election.

That key metric: time spent listening.

The last words for Peter Fegan on 4BC:

"I’m back 5.30 Monday morning, have a fantastic weekend”.

Fegan should have realized that garbage day at 4BC's HQ at Cannon Hill is Tuesday, a fact whose knowledge without Googling should be a mandatory requirement for any replacement.

A very interesting question: are there a couple of NQTV bulletins from April 1988 somehow sitting up on Mt Coot-tha after a pre-Expo excursion to end up in this promo?

From @flemishdog.bsky.social's latest upload.

It's more of a noticable slump, since Pricey left MMM Townsville two years ago.

Although, I somehow think Steve Price should seriously think about getting in the big local race coming up in Townsville, and get a couple more mango seasons in the public eye.

I wonder how the #cheapseatsAU folks are going to explain why their #BBAU countdown from late April is somehow a week off 10's planned air date...

Fox Sports News is definitely on the wrong grid tonight.

Coming next year, Content Survey Live U.S.A. will be a sixteen city megalith of a competition... so big, we had to divide the competition into four pools, much like how US sports leagues love their conference systems.

Now, here's the reality. This is where Jo Desmond and Nathan Spurling read the 6pm news from each night.

A studio facility in Maroochydore that Seven used to own outright, but now leases back, despite the changing face of the Maroochydore CBD just outside their carpark.

A thread for @molk.bsky.social:

Seven have started rolling out the latest promo series to a market where it doesn't need to, because it has a clear monopoly at six in regional Queensland.

Here's what Seven expect you to think Jo Desmond and Nathan Spurling read the 6pm news from each night.

The lack of awareness by some people (the image is included) as to why the ABC left Toowong even as we approach the 20th anniversary of the facility's closure is very galling.

ABC didn't sell their prime riverside inner city Brisbane land... they had to vacate it due to a cancer cluster.

That Thanksgiving weekend episode of NBC Today: probably the first big US interview for one Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter "pilot" wouldn't air in the US until late '96).

As for Fosters backing oneAustralia for the Americas Cup '95...
only for it to sink during the Louis Vuitton Cup.

Currently getting this glitchy Best Sheds commercial in regional QLD.
